Move-In Logistics

Instructions and Resources for Urban Plungers 2025

Please Note: 

All Urban Plunge Students will move in on Thursday, August 21st, from 9 am - 1 pm. Please disregard any email communications from Residential Life stating a different move-in time. Once accepted into the program, you are confirmed to move in on August 21st.

Please refer to the appropriate campus and housing status that applies to you!

Rose Hill Residents 

Urban Plunge Registration & Check In Location

Parking Lot A/Matteo Ricci Circle : 2691 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY 10458

Urban Plunge Registration

  • Move in is from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
    • We are staggering move-in times within this window for both campuses to allow for a smooth flow. Expect an email the week before the program starts with your respective move-in time.
    • Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package at registration. This will include your student ID (if you choose the physical option), and all materials for the weekend.
  • Move-In - 
    • After completing your Urban Plunge Registration, you will go to Loyola Hall to get your ResLife assignment.
    • Once you have your ResLife assignment and keys, you may drive to your assigned dorm to drop off any large items. All residence hall parking spaces will be for drop-off only. Once all materials are dropped off, cars must be parked in the garage. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience. Urban Plunge Assistants will also be stationed around campus to help make the move-in process go smoothly! 
    • If you are arriving in a hired vehicle, move-in bins will also be available in Parking Lot A. You will then proceed to Loyola Hall to pick up your keys and ResLife assignment, and can go to your assigned dorm to drop off your items.
  • Family Lunch - 
    • After move-in, families are encouraged to take a break for lunch off campus (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm). We will share some recommendations in the vicinity. All nearby restaurants and eateries are walking distance. 
  • Commissioning - 
    • All Rose Hill Urban Plungers – including commuter students – must arrive at Keating Hall for our commissioning ceremony at 3:00 PM, followed by a final farewell to family. Our official programming will commence at 5:00 PM

Lincoln Center Residents 

Urban Plunge Registration & Check In Location: McKeon Hall

Urban Plunge Registration

  • Move in is from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
    • We are staggering move-in times within this window for both campuses to allow a smooth flow. Expect an email the week before the program starts with your respective move-in time.
    • Upon arrival, you will receive a welcome package at registration. This will include your student ID (if you choose the physical option), and all materials for the weekend.
  • Move-In - 
    • After completing your Urban Plunge Registration at McKeon Hall, you will also get your keys and you will complete your ResLife check-in. 
    • If you are a McKeon resident, you will unload your belongings and there will be helpers on campus to further assist you. The move-in process will be drop-off only. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience. After unpacking, you may park your vehicles. For parking at Lincoln Center, refer here. Urban Plunge Assistants will also be stationed around campus and ready to help make the move-in process go smoothly! 
    • If you are a McMahon resident, you will drive to your dorm to drop off any large items. The move-in process will be drop-off only. We will have move-in bins available for your convenience. After unpacking, you may park your vehicles. For parking at Lincoln Center, refer here. Urban Plunge Assistants will also be stationed around campus and ready to help make the move-in process go smoothly!
  • Family Lunch - 
    • After move-in, families are encouraged to take a break for lunch off campus (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm). We will share some recommendations in the vicinity. All nearby restaurants and eateries are walking distance.

    • All Lincoln Center Urban Plungers – including commuter students – must arrive at McNally Amphitheatre | Platt Court for our commissioning ceremony at 3:00 PM, followed by a final farewell to family. Our official programming will commence at 5:00 PM.

Commuter Students (Rose Hill and Lincoln Center)

  • Please arrive at your respective campus by 12pm to allow for your registration before Commissioning. Your family is more than welcome to stay and attend our commissioning ceremony and the reception that will follow.
    • Lincoln Center Check-In will take place at McKeon Hall. 150 W 62nd St, New York, NY 10023. For parking at Lincoln Center, refer here
      • The Lincoln Center commissioning ceremony will occur at The Church of St. Paul the Apostle (405 W 59th Street) with a 3:00 pm start time. Our official programming will commence at 5:00 PM.
    • The Rose Hill Check-In will take place at Parking Lot A/Matteo Ricci Circle. 2691 Southern Boulevard Bronx, NY 10458
      • The Rose Hill commissioning ceremony will take place in the University Church at 3:00 pm.
      • Our official programming will commence at 5:00 PM.
